The galaxy of Warhammer 40,000 is huge and dangerous, full of extradimensional threats and hostile xenos. The imperium of man clings to life, slowly but inevitably decaying under the weight of 10,000 years of state-controlled ideology and paranoia. It’s a very nice place to live, unless you’re a rare few who thrive there – like the Rogue Traders, the vanguards of the Imperium who control enormous powers.
Speaking of Rogue Traders, you can step into their shoes on the cheap thanks to a deal Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader of GOG and Green Man Gaming which knocks 45% off, costing you only $27.49 (was $49.99). This title is a fantastic CRPG that dives into all the bad choices and high fun that comes with the job. It has sold over 1 million copies since launch, and to celebrate, developer Owlcat Games is selling the game for its lowest price yet this weekend.
The game’s first premium DLC pack, Void Shadow ShadowAlso available for 20% off GOG, price $14.39. Void Shadow Shadow Add a large amount of content to the middle of the game, pitting the Rogue Trader and their forces against the rogue Genestealer Cults. A second DLC pack, Imperial Law is currently in operation. We don’t know much about the second expansion, except that it will be big and will revolve around the Arbites, the Imperium’s special forces.
It’s good to see other CRPGs flourishing in the wake of mega-hits Baldur’s Gate 3. Another game set in the Warhammer 40K universe, Marine Station 2also like there is success after release. It remains to be seen what else to do Rogue Trader after the Imperial Law Interesting, but it’s a huge name that’s worth picking up, especially when it’s on sale.
