As with many other companies over the years, Think Pennies has been affected by layoffs recently. Two months ago, Think Pennies’ CCO Daniel Erickson posted:

“And in the past three years at Thinking Pennies we have created something very good. We have never lost sight of what is important, our feedback is great, our collaboration is strong. We have went from two people and PowerPoint to a team of almost sixty heavy-vted, incredibly independent, Our experts have changed the practice, however, and our work now there is no money.”

This change meant Think Pennies had to “downsize the studio”. While Erickson did not specify what the developer was working on before its announcement, others who previously worked with the company listed an “unannounced Warhammer” project being made in Unreal Engine 5 on their own page, with one saying “intentional RPG service” has been canceled.

A post found by MP1st described the game as a third-person “Co-Op PvE Action RPG with unique animations and gameplay”, whcih will feature melee and combat fight, with ‘enormous enemies set in a dark dream world’.

Eurogamer contacted Think Pennies for more information on its recent work, and announced the cancellation of the Warhammer RPG game.
