Studio Wildcard remains silent on the Ark 2 release date, but just revealed two years on the road for Ark: Survival Ascended

Back in the days of 2020 there is some good news for those who love dinosaurs and families: Ark 2 is coming and Vin Diesel has come with it. Vin Diesel, shirtless, riding a dinosaur? Sounds like a certificate.

Since then, however, we have heard more and less about Ark 2. The sequel to Ark: Survival Evolved was initially announced with a 2023 release, which was cut and re announced at the end of 2024. But as 2024 ends. , Ark 2 was not released. There is no description of another delay on Studio Wildcard (at least none that I have seen), no announcement in conflict, and no update date.

The delay is nothing unusual, but not announcing or explaining the delay is unusual, especially for a game that not only stars Vin Diesel but also joins him along the way growing of things: If you remember, Diesel was called Studio Wildcard’s “President of Creative Convergence” as well as executive producer of the dino-sequel.

That doesn’t mean Studio Wildcard hasn’t worked. Ark: Survival Ascended, a remaster of Ark: Survival Evolved, is scheduled to be released in early 2023, which is about the time Ark 2 was delayed until 2024. The remake is also fast-forwarding: While there is still no word about Ark 2, Studio Wildcard has revealed the path that will take us to the end of 2026. Some of them are related to Lost Colony, an expansion for Ark: Survival Evolved. Ascended. (It is worth noting that the remaster should come out early at the end of 2024, so it may not miss its date.)

The road map includes updates to Unreal Engine 5.5, new animals like Bison, and a rework of the Ragnarok map, which will be free, in March and April. In June, the new premium map will arrive, and in August, the free version of the Valguero map. Next year, Ark: Survival Ascended will receive new content such as Genesis and Bob’s True Tales in April and August 2026, in addition to the remastered Fjordur map in December 2026.
