Concept art for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film has been released, revealing cutscenes and a look at hidden characters from the post-credits scene.
The photos are from Chinese designers at Tian He Yan Studio, shared earlier today on Weibo (some Movie spoilers ahead!).
Coincidentally, the footage was released a day before the film became available digitally, just a month after its theatrical release.
“At this time we are responsible for the drawing of some keyframes and some prototypes,” read a post from Tian He Yan Studio. “Keyframe mapping helps create the tone of the video, and can also help guide the performance of the visual effects.”
Most of the images show the main events of the film. There’s Shadow and Maria’s meeting, Eggman watching a telenovela, Super Sonic and Super Shadow fighting in space, and the beautiful Chao Garden restaurant.
But there are many. Knuckles and Tails are seen riding a bike through the streets of London chased by a huge pile of garbage, like something out of a Katamari game, in what I think is a cut scene older. Another image shows the three heroes Sonic in flight as they escape some sort of sand blast, with Knuckles covered in scorpions.

The two pictures are the most interesting of all, though, showing both Amy Rose and Iron Sonic. Both of these characters are teased in the film’s post-credit scene – it is unclear from this artwork if they were originally intended for this film, or if this artwork This is just for them to express.
However, this could be an indication of what to expect in the confirmed film sequel Sonic 4. For example, Amy was seen standing next to Sonic as she did in it show, although there are destructive robots other than Metal Sonic three. seen in Sonic 3. What’s going on in the background?

Another image shows Metal Sonic with Eggman wearing some kind of royal garb, a cyberpunk-esque city in the background. This is definitely not part of Sonic 3, with fans saying it could be something bad for the future. If true, it would follow speculation, the next film will be inspired by the time travel Sonic CD.

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, or want to watch it again, it will be available digitally tomorrow (January 21).
Control the dough
Last week, the filmmaker behind the critically acclaimed film explained his creations — including the creation of the original Shadow Classic.
