Description

Some mobile gaming PCs were unveiled at CES 2025, like the Lenovo Legion Go S, but most of them are months away from release. If you don’t want to wait to jump into the wonderful world of on-the-go PC gaming, you should know that one of the most attractive options is associated with its lowest price yet. The Windows-based Asus ROG Ally with AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor is $499.99 at Best Price (regularly $649.99), and comes with free Asus ROG Ally travel data, plus a free month of Game Pass Ultimate. There is no telling how long this deal will last.

Part of what makes this so good is that it costs the same as Asus’ ROG Ally variant which has a slower Z1 CPU. The Z1 Extreme rates a faster frame rate (FPS) across all games, from 10 fps to almost 40 fps improvement depending on the title. Along with increased performance, you’ll get more enjoyment from ROG Ally’s fast 120 Hz refresh rate display. In terms of storage, you get a 512 GB SSD built-in, with the option to buy and add a larger one if you open the back. That, or just insert one of the many excellent ROG Ally microSD card options as a cheaper, easier (but slower) alternative.

ROG Ally includes everything you need to get started, but part of the fun in owning the handset is equipping it with accessories. We’ve rounded up the must-have ROG Ally accessories, including cases, protective pads, analog stick grips, and more.
